Safe Water Supply
Water — The Source of Every Possibility
Safe Water Supply
Water — The Source of Every Possibility
A world where everyone has access to clean water — leaving no one behind.
2.2 Billion People
The number of people worldwide still without access to safely managed drinking water.
_WHO, UNICEF
For communities without water, it is never just water that is missing. Without clean water, there is no proper sanitation, no adequate nutrition, no access to education, no progress toward gender equality, and little capacity to respond to the climate crisis. Most of all, what is lost is hope - the chance to imagine a different future.
Yet with clean water, everything changes. Where water flows, health improves, children return to school, opportunities grow — opening the door to a future once thought impossible.
Team&Team delivers clean water to the communities that need it most — and with water, we deliver hope. Grounded in our expertise in WASH, we expand our work across agriculture, climate response, and other interconnected sectors to create lasting change.
How does Team&Team work?
We Go Where the Need Is Greatest.
Through in-depth field assessments, we seek out communities in the driest and most remote regions — those who need water most but have been hardest to reach.
We Deliver Context-Specific Solutions.
We train local experts and work closely with residents, local governments, and partner institutions to design and implement solutions tailored to each community’s needs.
We Strengthen Community Ownership.
We support communities in building self-reliance by organizing Water User Committees (WUCs) and encouraging active participation throughout project implementation.
We Think Beyond Clean Water.
Our work does not stop at providing water. Together with communities, we consider what comes next — whether that means improving nutrition, supporting livelihoods, or building climate resilience.
Right Solution for the Right Place.
We conduct hydrogeological surveys to identify available water sources and carry out environmental impact assessments to select sites that minimize impact on local water environments. By carefully considering water sources, terrain, and community population, we implement the most appropriate and sustainable solution for each context.

Solar-Powered Water Systems
Using solar energy, we pump groundwater from developed boreholes into elevated storage tanks, typically 5–10 meters high. Water is then distributed through gravity-fed pipelines to community water points.

Water Point Installation
We connect storage tanks to nearby villages through pipelines, installing water points that provide easy access to clean water. Tap-based systems minimize waste while making water collection more efficient for communities.

Borehole Development
In marginalized areas without access to safe water, our specialized WASH team works with local communities and governments to develop groundwater sources. Through the installation of hand pumps, we ensure communities have continuous access to safe and clean water.

Pump Rehabilitation
We rehabilitate broken or abandoned hand pumps caused by aging infrastructure or lack of maintenance. This is a highly cost-effective intervention — in Sub-Saharan Africa, nearly 50% of hand pumps are non-functional and in need of repair.
Our Projects
Strengthening Climate Resilience through WASH
Turkana County, Kenya (2022–2023)
56,166 people
gained access to at least 15 liters of safe water per day
In northwestern Kenya, Turkana County faced severe water scarcity and poor sanitation due to the escalating climate crisis. These conditions posed serious threats to community health, as well as to the safety of children. In 2022, Team&Team constructed a large-scale water supply system based on elevated storage tanks and pipeline distribution. Beyond infrastructure, we strengthened community-led management systems to ensure safe, sustainable access to clean water.
*A Water Resource Users Association (WRUA) is a community-based organization composed of local residents. It is responsible for collectively managing, maintaining, and regulating the use of water facilities.
Integrated WASH Program for Waterborne Disease Prevention
Arua District, Uganda (2019–2021)

16,081 people
gained improved access to safe water
In Arua District, refugees and host communities shared limited water sources. The shortage of safe water and sanitation facilities had led to the widespread prevalence of waterborne diseases. From 2019 to 2021,Team&Team implemented an integrated WASH program across Arua and 47 surrounding villages. By constructing large-capacity water tank systems, developing boreholes, and rehabilitating broken pumps, we provided more than 16,000 people with reliable access to safe water — while strengthening sustainable, community-led management systems.
*A Water Point refers to a designated water facility where community members can safely collect drinking water.
